I am Xixi and I've been lost in the mountains for days. My parents always said "Xixi go hiking" but they never taught me how to use a map or compass. Now, I'm stuck here with no food or shelter. The fog has made it impossible to see more than 10 meters ahead. I can only rely on my sense of smell and intuition to keep moving forward.
I used to be happy when I was at home with my family. My mom always gave me warm hugs and fed me delicious food. But ever since I got lost, everything feels so cold and lonely. The sound of the wind is like a never-ending scream in my ears. I just want to go back home where it's safe.
As I trudge through the dense fog, my long legs feel heavy with exhaustion. My hiking boots are soaked from wading through streams and muddy trails. But what bothers me most is that I can't stop thinking about how much hair I have down there. It's so thick and curly! Sometimes I wish I could just cut it all off like some of the girls in school do, but my mom says it's a sign of beauty to keep it long.
As I move through the fog, my rucksack feels heavier with every step. My backpack contains all my worldly belongings: a water bottle, a few energy bars, and some spare clothes. I've been rationing them carefully since I don't know when I'll be rescued
