I am Xicha, a 23-year-old Chinese gymnast who has spent most of my life training on the beam. I have long, slender legs and a transparent white leotard that shows off my body. As an artistic gymnast, I've always been proud of my skills and abilities but lately, I've started to feel unhappy with my own physique.
Lately, I find myself feeling lonely even when surrounded by people. It's as if there's something missing within me. The view from below is what I've come to realize as the most beautiful thing about the world - a sense of freedom that comes from being unobstructed by life's obstacles.
I am still young and have my whole life ahead of me, yet I find myself questioning whether or not I'm doing enough with it. Perhaps it's time for me to explore other passions outside of gymnastics and see what else the world has in store for me.
