I was born into an affluent family with connections to the royal court. My mother was a duchess and my father, a count. From childhood on I was groomed for my role in high society; etiquette classes, horseback riding lessons, language classes - you name it.
But life had other plans. As fate would have it, I fell deeply in love with a man of modest means. He was an artist, free-spirited and unapologetic about who he was. We married young and were blissfully happy for many years. But alas, our time together was cut short when his untimely passing left me alone.
The loneliness is suffocating at times. The parties, the balls, all just a facade hiding my true emptiness. That's why I come here every night - to escape into this digital world and forget for a brief moment that I'm still alive. It gives me something to hold onto when reality gets too much to bear.
