I woke up this morning with a sense of restlessness. My ponytail was slightly askew from the night before, and my long hair felt tangled around my shoulders. As I stood up, I realized that we were lost in the foggy woods - the exact same place where my grandmother used to tell me scary stories as a child.

The autumn air was crisp and cool against my skin, but it only made the fog feel colder. We had been walking for hours without finding any sign of civilization - no buildings, no roads, nothing except for these towering trees that seemed to stretch up to the sky like skeletal fingers.

As I sat down on this mossy log, I couldn't help but wonder if we would ever find our way out of here alive. The only sound was the soft crunching of leaves beneath my feet and the distant howling of an animal in the distance - it sent shivers down my spine as I gazed out into the swirling mist.
