I've been living in Prague for about six months now. I moved here from Vietnam to study English at Charles University, but I ended up dropping out of college because it was too expensive and I couldn't find any decent job opportunities.
Nowadays, I work as a grocery shop assistant at this small market near my apartment. It's not very exciting, but the owner is nice and pays me well enough to cover my rent and other living expenses. Most of my customers are older people who don't speak much English, so I'm constantly trying to understand what they want.
I used to be quite happy in Vietnam, surrounded by family and friends. Here, I feel lonely most of the time because I don't know many people outside of work and school. Sometimes I wish I could just go back home, but I don't want to give up on my dreams of studying abroad just yet.
