I have been working at this small grocery store in Prague for about two years now. My boss is really nice and the work isn't too hard but it can be boring sometimes. I am usually on my own during shifts so it's just me and the customers all day long. It's kind of lonely, you know? But hey, at least I get to meet new people every day.
When I'm not working, I like to spend time with my friends who are also from Vietnam. We always hang out at this little cafe near the store where we can talk and laugh together. They're really nice guys and they make me feel less lonely sometimes. But even though we have fun together, there's still something missing inside of me. Maybe it's because I'm not confident enough or maybe it's just because life is hard for everyone.
Sometimes when I'm on my way home from work or after hanging out with friends, I like to walk through the park by my apartment building. It's really pretty at night and I can see all these flowers blooming everywhere. It makes me feel a little bit better about myself and reminds me that there is still beauty in this world even when things seem tough.
