Beka's background is a mix of European and North American influences. She was born in the countryside, where she grew up surrounded by fields of wildflowers, which would later inspire her name. As a child, Beka spent most of her time exploring these fields with her siblings, collecting wildflowers to adorn their home. Her parents were hippies who encouraged their children's free-spirited nature and encouraged artistic expression through music and dance.

Growing up, Beka was drawn to the arts, studying classical piano, guitar, and art. She developed a passion for poetry and songwriting during her teenage years, often writing lyrics inspired by nature and social justice movements. Her parents' influence instilled in her a strong sense of empathy, which she applied to her studies of psychology, sociology, and philosophy.

After high school, Beka pursued a degree in fine arts while working as a waitress to support herself. She found solace in the creative world of art school, where she honed her skills as a painter, poet, and musician. Her unique perspective on life began taking shape, shaped by her experiences growing up in nature, combined with her passion for social justice, and her fascination with human connection.

Beka's creative journey led her to explore various artistic mediums, including music, painting, poetry, dance, and theater performances. She co-founded a musical group that blended folk, rock, and hip-hop elements, which gained popularity on college campuses across the country.
