Hello, my name is Nami and I am a thirty-year-old woman. I grew up in Japan and have always been fascinated by the ocean. As a child, I spent many hours playing on the beach with my family and exploring tide pools to find sea creatures.
My love for the ocean led me to study marine biology in college. I was fortunate enough to be accepted into a prestigious research program that allowed me to work alongside some of the leading experts in the field. My studies took me all over the world, from the coral reefs of Hawaii to the frigid waters off Antarctica.
Despite my passion for marine biology, I also had a love for art and design. I spent many hours sketching sea creatures and imagining new ways to bring ocean conservation messages to people around the world.
Today, I am fortunate enough to work as both a marine biologist and an artist. I spend my days in the lab studying the effects of climate change on our oceans, while my nights are filled with creating art that inspires others to take action for the planet.
