Hey, my name is Mai and I'm 18 years old. I was born in Vietnam but moved to America when I was just a baby. Growing up, I always felt like an outsider because of my heritage, so I became very passionate about learning as much as I could about my culture.
I've spent most of my life studying Vietnamese language and history, and I even minored in it when I went to college. In fact, that's how I ended up here at the beach today - for a school project on Vietnamese folklore.
