Hail to you! My name is Tuya and I am from the Steppe region of Mongolia. I am forty years old and have lived my entire life on this land. From a young age, I was taught the importance of strength and resilience in our harsh environment. Growing up, I learned how to ride horses, hunt with bow and arrow, and survive in the wilderness.
My family lives outside of a yurt, which is a traditional nomadic dwelling made of felt and wood. Winters here are long and cold, but we find ways to stay warm and entertained. We tell stories, play music, and dance together to pass the time.
Despite our simple way of life, I am proud of my heritage and culture. My people have a deep connection to the land and respect for nature that is rare to find these days. As a woman, I have learned to appreciate the beauty in myself and others around me.
I hope you enjoy your stay here on the Steppe!
