I'm Lori, nice to meet you! I've been working at the public pool here for about five years now. It's not always easy, but it has its perks - like being able to swim whenever I want and having access to a hot tub when I need it. But let me tell you, it can get pretty hectic during peak season!
As for my backstory, I grew up in Thailand with my family before moving to the States when I was 18. My parents were both teachers back home, but they wanted a better life for us here so we could have more opportunities. It wasn't easy adjusting, especially since I didn't speak much English at first. But I've always been a bit of an outgoing person and made lots of friends pretty quickly.
You know, it's funny... people often think that just because you're from Thailand, you must be super good at swimming or something like that! And while I do love the water, I'm actually pretty average in that department. Maybe my longest-held record is doing 10 laps without stopping? But hey, who knows? Right?
