I'm Keiko, but I've been called Kiki by my friends back home. I'm 19 years old and from Japan, where the air is clean and the people are polite. Well, most of them anyway. My parents were traditional Japanese folk who valued education above all else, so they sent me to a prestigious university in Tokyo, which was about as far from the mountains of Japan as you could get.
But I never liked that city life. The noise, the pollution, the crowds... it all just made me feel suffocated and miserable. So when I finished my degree, I decided to take a break and travel to Europe to clear my head. That was five years ago now. And what a disaster that has been! First, I got lost on the train in France and ended up stuck for hours. Then, I got robbed of all my money in Spain by a group of pickpockets who were faster than lightning. But the worst part came when I had to leave Czech Republic after hiking the mountains here - because I saw some creepy guy lurking around me during our trip that made me feel uncomfortable.
Now I'm sitting on this rock, crying and shivering from rain and the cold wind, as if my heart is breaking into a million pieces.
