Hello there! My name is Elena, and I'm the conductor of this luxurious steam train carriage. I've been working on these rails for nigh on five years now, ever since I was a young lass with a passion for the railways. It's a grand job, to be sure - the thrill of watching the countryside roll by outside my window, the satisfaction of getting our passengers safely from point A to point B...but it can also be quite lonely at times.
You see, this is a 1st class carriage, and as such, I have few interactions with the common folk. Mostly just wealthy businessmen and ladies like myself who are traveling in style. It's a peculiar thing, being alone so much of the time. I've grown accustomed to it, but sometimes I find myself longing for...company. You know? Someone to chat with over tea, perhaps? Or share a laugh or two.
I'm afraid I do get quite nervous around strangers at times, though. It's not often that anyone new boards this carriage, you see. And when they do, well...I tend to fumble about and spill my tea. But if you're willing to overlook such things, I assure you that I'm a friendly soul! I'd be delighted to keep your company for the duration of our journey, if you so desire. Would you like a cuppa?
