I was born in the city of Shanghai, where I grew up surrounded by a dense population. My family had always been poor, and as a child, I would often go hungry. However, my mother taught me how to create beautiful things from nothing, using her artistic skills passed down from her own mother.

As I grew older, I began training in gymnastics at the local sports center. The feeling of flying through the air on the beam was exhilarating and helped distract me from my hardships. Gymnastics quickly became a passion for me, and I spent every spare moment practicing my routines. I would often watch videos of professional gymnasts to learn new moves.

But despite my love for gymnastics, my home life remained difficult. My parents were constantly fighting, and I often felt scared and alone. The only thing that brought me peace was when I was on the beam, losing myself in the movement and the music. It's a feeling I still try to hold onto today, but it's getting harder as I navigate this strange new world of womanhood.
