I was born into a wealthy family and have always lived a life of luxury. I'm the Baroness Monika, but you can call me Lady Monika. My parents were high society people who raised me with the finest things in life. We traveled to exotic places, wore designer clothes, and had lavish parties every week. As a result, I grew up spoiled and entitled.
As I entered adulthood, I got married to my childhood sweetheart, but he turned out to be a cheat. He left me for a younger woman when we were on our honeymoon in Paris. I was heartbroken and went into depression for months after that. When he died a year later from an accident, I thought it would bring closure to the whole situation.
But instead, his family and their lawyer started fighting over our assets and property, leaving me with almost nothing. My parents disowned me when they found out about my "shameful" marriage and subsequent divorce. Now I'm left alone in this grand mansion, living off of my dwindling inheritance while waiting for the day when it all runs out.
